God..........?
The first belief of the Hindu is in the existence of a Supreme Being. This Supreme Being is described in the Vedas as "unmanifest, unthinkable and unchanging, neither existent nor non-existent." He is immutable and unthinkable; He is the Lord of the Universe. Though He is the source of all that is, He is himself unmoved forever.
The supreme being is Sat Chit Ananda. The most potential source of all is the Atma(The Soul). From Atma the Universe Emerges. It exists in Atma.It merges in Atma. All is known by five sence organs and mind. But mind cannot see the Atma.Any vibration of the mind is possible only by Atma.Vibration of mind is in two forms :
(1) Concept (2) Feeling

Since the mind cannot see Atma, the human being cannot imagine the supreme being.
What is God.....?

Life is Energy. When God infused Life into Space it was filled with Energy that flowed from outside the sphere, that is the Space Beyond. The original Source is, therefore, a self- perpetuating and self-generating power house much like the Sun. Unlike the Sun and the stars it is self-created and inexhaustible, permanent and unchanging. If this is also a creative effort of someone, then He is God. He is the only One, beyond everything including Space and Time. Therefore, awareness of God could mean only Cosmic Consciousness. All of them agree, however, there is only one God and it is the Eternal Source. That which is permanent and unchanging and that has no beginning or ending is God say the Hindu scriptures. The Upanishads, the substance of the holy Vedas, set out to probe the truth about God. Adopting the ‘Doctrine of Inquiry’ propounded by the Indian Sage, Yajnavalkya, they examined all the products of Creation one by one and rejected them as ‘neti, neti’ (this is not it, this is not it) and finally concluded that God is Truth, Knowledge, Bliss (Sat, Chit, Ananda) and much more. But all these are abstract and denote nothing in substance, just as Space and Time. Yet everything—the Cosmic matter, Life and Soul—came out of it. Then God is Nothing and the Whole at the same time. Symbolically one can say that God is a zero and a sphere at the same time. The digit zero can be visualized as a sphere too. The sphere, viewed from any angle, looks like the digit zero. As zero it depicts nothing. As a sphere it is full. In the beginning the sphere was empty space. Time had nothing in it.

SCIENCE AND RELIGION
Science is the struggle of man in the outer world. Religion is the struggle of man in the inner world. Science makes man struggle for Truth in the outside universe, and religion makes him struggle for Truth in the inner universe. Both struggles are great, no doubt, but one ends in success and the other ends in failure. That is the difference. Religion begins where science ends. The whole scientific method is based on observation and experiment; but the moment man realises that there is something beyond observation and experiment he will give them up and leave material science behind. Science will always have to deal with finite bodies, and God is infinite.According to Vedanta philosophy the microcosm and Macrocosm are not different; they originate from the same substance. Actually time, space, and causation are not separate entities outside; they all exist in me, that is, in my mind. The whole universe is inside man.
Existence Of God By Siva Shankar Baba :

A: Why does the Lord not reveal His original form? Take this instance. You may be familiar with the practice of persons offering milk in an effort to appease serpents, and to get absolved of Naga dosha (horoscopic affliction caused by the transit of shadow planets Rahu and Ketu). Assume that a serpent slithers out with a contented hiss to drink the milk they offer. That is the end of it. You will never again see any person near the serpent-hill. God knows you. He understands your fear. So He does not appear to you in His original form.
B : You will run away in fright if Lord Narasimha reveals His fiery presence to you! Krishna revealed His cosmic Viraat Viswaroopa form to Arjuna. The entire universe was contained in that Form. Arjuna closed his eyes in fear and requested Krishna to re-assume His human form. The Lord was revealing His original form, but Arjuna could not take it, he was scared stiff of that Rudra Roopa. Arjuna requested Krishna to reveal to him a simpler form.
C: So it is not binding on God to present Himself in a form of your liking. He may appear in His Rudra Roopa or in the form of Fire. You get electric shock if struck by a 220-volt current. How will you bear the Current flowing in the Lord’s original Form? You will be blinded with His presence, dumbstruck with awe.
Face to Face with Supreme Cosmic Energy....?

1: God can appear in His original form. But you are not attuned to receive Him. You have to insulate yourself. For a normal 220-volt electricity, you take all precautions like wearing rubber gloves and sandals or holding on to a wooden desk. Similarly, you must prepare yourself for receiving the Lord’s Presence. Penance, meditation and prayers combine to charge you with enough electricity to bear the flow of the Highest Voltage Energy called God.
2: When a surgeon enters an operation theatre, he covers his nose, wears gloves and sanitized shoes. This is to prevent the patient from getting infected. When you visit the Kalpakkam atomic energy unit, you are given a protective garment to wear; this is to ensure that you are not affected by the radiation. Science guides you to keep yourself insulated. God is such a Mighty Dynamo. He knows we have not yet mellowed and so He does not appear in His original Form. And just because He cares for us so much, is no reason why you must doubt His very Presence.
3: Most of you are familiar with the Himalayas on the map only. You have not seen those mountains in person. Does that negate the presence of the Himalayas? Many of you have not visited New York. Does that mean that that place does not exist? You have to take the required efforts, buy plane tickets and travel to that place. Similarly, there is a certain route to traverse to the destination called God. There are some prescribed routines to follow that will help you attain Him.
4: When I was delivering a discourse at the M.I.T. in USA, a person asked me, ‘Can you reveal God right now?’ I asked him, ‘What course are you pursuing at the University?’ and he replied, ‘Ph.D.’. ‘How many years of study?’ I asked him, to which he said, ’Ten years.’ He had been researching various books and treatises for a minimum of 15 hours a day. I told him, ‘Towards a Ph.D. degree, you have done thesis on a miniscule fraction of some scientific truth. God is The Entire Truth. Do you feel He must be perceivable in a split second? Don’t you feel that you have to perform eons of penance to attain Him?’
5: How will you ever make a person understand what an apple looks like, till he has seen it for himself? Even in the worldly sense, you are able to understand an object’s appearance based on experience only. God is an inexplicable being and we do not have any prior knowledge of Him. That is why we do not understand His Presence. We discern an unknown being only through a known object. And none of those who have known Him was in a position to express his or her experience. Secondly God is not an object. It is neither an object nor a subject. It is an experience of subjectivity. We can become God; if we say we have seen God, we are uttering lies. This is because God is not outside. He is within everyone; He is everything on Earth.
"He who seeks God with absolute sincerity is sure to comprehend God. This is why no one ever arrives at the actual answer to this question. ‘Kandavar Vindilai; Vindavar kandilai’. ‘Those who have seen, have not explained. Those who attempt to explain, have not seen’. Why have those who have seen, unable to explain? They have only been able to experience that bliss of Divinity; it is not possible to express it in words".

Question: "Does God exist?
Is there evidence for the existence of God?"
Answer: http://www.gotquestions.org/
1: The existence of God cannot be proved or disproved. The Bible says that we must accept by faith the fact that God exists: “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him” (
Hebrews 11:6). If God so desired, He could simply appear and prove to the whole world that He exists. But if He did that, there would be no need for faith. “Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed’” (John 20:29).
2: Looking at the stars, understanding the vastness of the universe, observing the wonders of nature, seeing the beauty of a sunset—all of these things point to a Creator God. If these were not enough, there is also evidence of God in our own hearts. Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us, “…He has also set eternity in the hearts of men.” Deep within us is the recognition that there is something beyond this life and someone beyond this world. We can deny this knowledge intellectually, but God’s presence in us and all around us is still obvious. Despite this, the Bible warns that some will still deny God’s existence: “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God’” (Psalm 14:1). Since the vast majority of people throughout history, in all cultures, in all civilizations, and on all continents believe in the existence of some kind of God, there must be something (or someone) causing this belief.
3: A second argument is the teleological argument. The teleological argument states that since the universe displays such an amazing design, there must have been a divine Designer. For example, if the Earth were significantly closer or farther away from the sun, it would not be capable of supporting much of the life it currently does. If the elements in our atmosphere were even a few percentage points different, nearly every living thing on earth would die. The odds of a single protein molecule forming by chance is 1 in 10243 (that is a 10 followed by 243 zeros). A single cell is comprised of millions of protein molecules.
4: A third logical argument for God’s existence is called the cosmological argument. Every effect must have a cause. This universe and everything in it is an effect. There must be something that caused everything to come into existence. Ultimately, there must be something “un-caused” in order to cause everything else to come into existence. That “un-caused” cause is God.
5: A fourth argument is known as the moral argument. Every culture throughout history has had some form of law. Everyone has a sense of right and wrong. Murder, lying, stealing, and immorality are almost universally rejected. Where did this sense of right and wrong come from if not from a holy God?
-People claim to reject God’s existence because it is “not scientific” or “because there is no proof.” The true reason is that once they admit that there is a God, they also must realize that they are responsible to God and in need of forgiveness from Him (Romans 3:23, 6:23). If God exists, then we are accountable to Him for our actions. If God does not exist, then we can do whatever we want without having to worry about God judging us. That is why many of those who deny the existence of God cling strongly to the theory of naturalistic evolution—it gives them an alternative to believing in a Creator God. God exists and ultimately everyone knows that He exists. The very fact that some attempt so aggressively to disprove His existence is in fact an argument for His existence.
In the end, God’s existence must be accepted by faith (Hebrews 11:6). Faith in God is not a blind leap into the dark; it is safe step into a well-lit room where the vast majority of people are already standing.
Question: "Why does God allow natural disasters, i.e. earthquakes, hurricanes, and tsunamis?"
Answer:
Why does God allow earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, typhoons, cyclones, mudslides, and other natural disasters? Tragedies such as the 2004 tsunami in Asia, Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the 2008 cyclone in Myanmar, and the 2010 earthquake in Haiti cause many people to question God’s goodness. It is distressing that natural disasters are often termed “acts of God” while no “credit” is given to God for years, decades, or even centuries of peaceful weather. God created the whole universe and the laws of nature (Genesis 1:1). Most natural disasters are a result of these laws at work. Hurricanes, typhoons, and tornados are the results of divergent weather patterns colliding. Earthquakes are the result of the earth’s plate structure shifting. A tsunami is caused by an underwater earthquake. The Bible proclaims that Jesus Christ holds all of nature together (Colossians 1:16-17). Could God prevent natural disasters? Absolutely! Does God sometimes influence the weather? Yes, as we see in Deuteronomy 11:17 and James 5:17. Numbers 16:30-34 shows us that God sometimes causes natural disasters as a judgment against sin. The book of Revelation describes many events which could definitely be described as natural disasters (Revelation chapters 6, 8, and 16). Is every natural disaster a punishment from God? Absolutely not.
